On Saturday, February 10, 2018 Muslim Center Junior High School was able to witness a historical and memorable day. MusCare and Muslims Thrive organized a Family Therapy event and invited phenomenal speakers: Mohammad Elshinawy and Sadia Yunus to touch base upon matters that are still considered taboo in our society today. Both speakers did an amazing job addressing family and martial issues that we can solve with the help of the correct amount of knowledge and sources. We were also surprised with a visit and speech from the First Lady Chirlane McCray who focused on matters such as domestic violence and how we can seek help as a community. We will like to thank all those who attended and hope they were able to benefit from this fruitful and memorable event.
