Poetry Jam

This year's Poetry Jam was a revival event of the role and importance of poetry in our lives. It demonstrated the impact and expressiveness of our diverse youth and adults in the community. Charged with passion, our stories, voicing issues and topics important to our lives were shared creatively. Speaking of aspects in the political, social, cultural, spiritual and personal spheres, light was given to who or what we held most dear.

This event at MCJHS ultimately shows our appreciation for what we are surrounded with and gives greater awareness to the bond we have locally to project and strengthen that of our kinship globally as an ummah and in humanity.
